What a fabulous week we've had at Banchory Lodge Hotel, the perfect riverside setting for our splendid River of Fish. We've launched the project, hit page 3 in the P & J and the evening STV news. We've had nigh on 1000 visitors who have worn a path around the 40 foot long installation.
We've had lots of sunshine, some wind which has wafted the fish in a swimming motion and a tiny bit of rain - thank you to all the volunteer stewards who gave generously of their time and enthusiasm. And thank you too to all the visitors, so many interesting and delightful comments. And apart from a deer nibbling one of the Whopper's fins in the early hours, there were no casualties!
And so, today we move the fish - from Banchory Lodge to Buchanans, where they will open again on Friday evening, along with an exhibition telling the story behind the project and revealing the faces behind the fish. There will also be a second Whopper, and on Friday we present the winners of the school children's Design a Smolt competition with fish decorating using their designs.
