14 ‘Bars of Silver’ went to be fired in the Banchory Academy kiln a couple of days ago, and opening the kiln today was a little nerve-racking. Thankfully all 14 fish have turned out looking absolutely amazing – a very thrilling moment! Thanks so much to the Alison Reid and Dave Wylie in the Art Department at the Academy for allowing us to use the kiln.
And the other fabulous news of the day is that River of Fish will be going to Balmoral Castle for 2 weeks from 6th to 20th July! All 235 fish, plus the willow whopper, adorned with ceramic scales made by all you lovely people from our local community, will be in the Tower Garden in a very prominent place for all to see. Champagne all round!
